In this new role that reports to the vice president for Facilities, Campus Development, and Sustainability; Michael is responsible for capital program development and delivery, including project planning and design, construction, building activation, and post-occupancy evaluation of Yale’s capital program. Michael will also lead the evaluation of the university’s long-term needs for capital investments and development of the long-range plan for capital projects—aligning the capital investments with Yale’s strategic and academic priorities.

He was also the site director for Facilities Planning and Development at New York-Presbyterian Hospital and served as a principal for the architecture firm Larsen Shein Ginsberg & Magnusson (now Perkins Eastman), where he worked on several healthcare facilities in the New York metro area.
He received a B.A. in economics from McGill University, Montréal, Canada, an M.Arch from Washington University, and an M.B.A. from Fordham University. Michael is a registered architect in the states of Connecticut and New York and a member of the American Institute of Architects. He has taught workshops in project management for more than fifteen years and is currently an adjunct professor at the UConn School of Public Policy.
With this announcement, we will immediately begin recruiting for a new senior director of Capital Program Development and Delivery for the School of Medicine, School of Public Health, and Yale West Campus. Michael will lead this recruitment effort and will continue to direct capital program development and delivery for the Schools of Medicine and Public Health, and Yale West Campus, until the position is filled.
Please join us in extending well wishes to Michael as he assumes an advanced role in Yale’s Office of Facilities, effective January 4, 2024. We are thrilled to collaborate with him in achieving our ambitious capital plan.
Sincerely,
